I grew up reading whatever the library had. I remember reading the Ramona books, Where the Wild Things Are,Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Babysitter’s Club, Judy Blume, Corduroy, Junie B. Jones, The Velveteen Rabbit. All of these I loved. The one book I would read over and over and over again was Charlotte’s Web. Another of my favorite books was The Giver. That one made me cry and cry and we later read it in school where I cried again and boys laughed at me. Assholes. Another one of my favourites was Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret. Cannot forget Alice In Wonderland. Definitely on my Top three! Toddler and I started reading it.
Now? I read whatever children’s books my three year old demands me to read. The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Backyardigans, Tea for Ruby, That’s Not My Mermaid, Counting Kisses, and a lot more. I like them too but I can’t wait until she’s a bit older to enjoy Harry Potter with me. She’s going to loooove them. She already sits down and pretends to read them.
I’m going to be buying my favourite children’s books, the ones I used to read, for my daughter. I know she will like them and will probably interest her a bit when I tell her I used to read them when I was a child. I’m sure I missed a lot of books that I used to read so I’ll probably add a few more as I think about them

I know what you mean. I can’t wait until my girls are older too so I can start reading chapter books with them ^_^.
*whispers* When I feel the need to say a prayer, I *still* start off “Are you there, God? It’s me, Chibi.” *blushes* lol
